Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN First Assist (RNFA) for an Operating Room position requiring a MO or compact RN license and recent OR experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Work in the Operating Room Complex within a hospital setting
  • Day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
  • 13-week assignment duration
  • RNFA will be responsible for pre-, intra-, and post-operative patient care and first assisting in surgical procedures
  • Blocked scheduling may be considered based on facility needs
  • Up to 5 days of requested time off is permitted but must be made up during the assignment
  • Local candidates within 50 miles may be subject to contract length and return limitations
  • Candidates with a home address within 50 miles are restricted to three consecutive 13-week contracts at a local facility before a required break or transfer

  • Active MO or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
  • First Assistant (RNFA) certification required
  • Current BLS certification required with no expiring certs within the first 30 days of assignment unless renewal is scheduled
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in perioperative nursing and first assisting
  • Valid U.S. Social Security Number required
  • No employment gaps of 90 or more days within the past 12 months
