Job Description Job Description Paralegal - CENTURY CITY, CA SUMMARY Knight Law Group, LLP, is a California litigation firm—and a leader in the practice of Lemon Law. We have a reputation for aggressively representing the interests of our clients—consumers who have unknowingly purchased defective vehicles. Our firm takes pride in vigorously representing our clients and holding automakers to account. We are seeking a Legal Secretary to work out of our Century City, CA, office. This is an onsite role working five days per week in our beautiful office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing clerical duties using legal terminology, procedures, and documents. My duties include but are not limited to, supporting attorneys by managing Outlook calendars, preparing files, arranging preparation sessions with clients, and performing other administrative tasks. The Legal Secretary will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the timely completion of work. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, scanning, etc. Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner Reply to email, telephone, and face-to-face inquiries Assist in resolving any administrative problems Cover the reception desk as required Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail Perform data entry in a variety of programs Prepare and modify documents, including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and emails. IDEAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE At least two years experience supporting 1-3 attorneys Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Minimum High School diploma needed; 4-year degree preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Adobe, Outlook, Word, and Excel Ability and willingness to learn to use firm technology Ability to handle heavy workloads and excellent time management skills Attention to detail is of paramount importance Must possess excellent communication skills, verbal and written, as well as excellent active listening skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, think critically, and work under pressure with confidential material Operate standard office equipment Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds *Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
