We’re looking for a Nonprofit Staff Accountant to join our small, dynamic finance team. You’ll play a key role in keeping our financial records accurate, organized, and compliant—while working alongside some of the friendliest people in the business. What You’ll Be Doing: Prepare monthly financial data, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other reports, as part of the month-end close process. Process journal entries, reconcile accounts, and analyze data to keep everything in tip‑top shape. Collaborate across departments to track revenues, expenses, payroll distributions, and more. Assist with internal and external audits—coordinating documents and supporting the Accounting Manager. Support government filings, tax documentation, and complex financial reporting. Help identify and implement accounting controls and procedures to stay compliant with GAAP. Mentor our accounting clerk and pitch in on special projects. What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field. 2+ years of accounting experience (public accounting experience is a plus!). Solid understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and revenue recognition. Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information with care.
