Please note this position requires in-personteaching at our Santa Barbara campus and not remote teaching . We are hiring for General English, Special Interest, and substitute positions. Curriculum, supplemental resources, and both initial and ongoing training are provided. EF provides ongoing professional development to our instructors in the field of English language teaching. Have you recently completed TESOL or CELTA training and are looking to put your new skills and training into practice while receiving developmental feedback from experienced, nurturing ESL professionals? Are you retired from full-time teaching, yet still yearn for the classroom dynamic of working with students and honing their English language skills? Do you possess the ability to think quickly on your feet and connect with a group of teenage and young adult learners while using state-of-the-art English language teaching materials to facilitate language acquisition? Have you taught English abroad and miss the involvement with students mastering another language and acting as a representative of American culture? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this might be the perfect role for you! The Role Teach classes of 15-17 students of varying English proficiency from all over the world utilizing EF’s cutting-edge in-house curriculum and methodology to lead interactive and hands-on classes. Add your own “sparkle” to the lesson plans to bring them to life and ensure your students are learning as much as they are having fun. EF provides dedicated face-to-face training as well as online training to ensure that you are prepared for your role. Our Academic Team will support your professional development as well as provide you with guidance throughout your tenure at the school. Salary Range from $20.45 to $23.68 per hour depending on qualifications and experience, plus $18.45 per hour for admin and planning (15 minutes per 80-minute period) Requirements Bachelor’s degree in any field Enthusiastic, energetic and a natural leader in the classroom. Responsible, approachable and friendly. High or middle school an advantage Highly organized, flexible and global minded. 3 months of experience teaching ESL in a classroom setting with 15+ students (Preferred).
