Big Island Physical Therapy is hiring a Clinical Assistant to support our Physical Therapists during traditional PT sessions and MedFit appointments , while helping maintain a clean, safe, and professional clinical environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in:

• Healthcare, physical therapy, kinesiology, or exercise science
• Gaining hands-on clinical experience
• Working with a team that values quality, teamwork, and patient outcomes

• Assist Physical Therapists and PTAs during patient treatment sessions
• Set up and break down treatment areas and exercise stations
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises under PT direction
• Support MedFit appointments , including:
• Equipment setup
• Monitoring basic vitals as directed (BP, HR, RPE)
• Ensuring patient safety during exercise sessions
• Maintain clinic cleanliness and sanitation throughout the day
• Clean and disinfect equipment, tables, and high-touch surfaces
• Stock supplies and assist with general clinic organization
• Communicate clearly with therapists and front desk staff to keep patient flow smooth

• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working on your feet and assisting with physical tasks
• Friendly, professional, and able to build rapport with patients
• Coachable and able to follow clinical direction
• Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
• Interest in healthcare, physical therapy, fitness, or wellness is a plus

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous experience in a clinic, gym, or healthcare setting is helpful but not required
• Ability to lift, push, and move equipment safely
• Strong communication and organizational skills
